Warburg - Henderson KAG buys first property
for Deutschland Fonds Nr. 1
The
Warburg - Henderson Kapitalanlagegesellschaft für Immobilien
mbH has purchased an office investment, comprising of
some 7,400 sq m, in the City Süd district of Hamburg
for its Deutschland Fonds Nr. 1. The Fund invests mainly
in office properties with development and restructuring
potential, located in the top five German cities, with
the goal of adding value through active management. HIH
Hamburgische Immobilien Handlung acted as sub-adviser
to Warburg - Henderson KAG.
Warburg - Henderson KAG specialises in the creation and management
of pan-European property Special Funds. The company was
founded in 2001 as a joint-venture between the Hamburg
private Bank, M.M.Warburg & CO and the global fund
managers, Henderson Global Investors Ltd., London. In
the last six months, three funds have been created with
investment totalling some €300m from a variety of
German and international institutional investors. The
company has the goal of becoming a leader in the property
Special Fund market within the next five years.
