Warburg - Henderson KAG wins property mandate for €600m equity
VHV Group invests in European properties – first building acquired in Berlin
Warburg - Henderson Kapitalanlagegesellschaft für Immobilien mbH (KAG) has won a property Spezialfonds mandate for €600m equity from the VHV Group. As stated by the KAG they have been assigned by the VHV Group to acquire properties across Europe for the Warburg - Henderson VHV Fonds.
With this win the Warburg - Henderson KAG has won one of the biggest property mandates over recent years, states Managing Director Dr. Henning Klöppelt. German properties will be the initial focus and once a few assets have been acquired in Germany pan-European investments will follow.
„In the course of a detailed selection process the Warburg – Henderson KAG stood out as a specialist for pan-European property investment management“, says Claus Blänkner, Member of the Board of Directors for Capital Investments of the VHV Group. VHV is a specialist insurance company for the building industry and is one of the biggest German car as well as indemnity insurance companies. Together with Hannoversche Lebensversicherung AG and VHV Lebensversicherung AG they are also active in the life insurance and retirement provisions sectors.
The KAG has won the mandate after going through a detailed selection process. The tender process was carried out by bfinance Deutschland GmbH in Munich.

The first property was acquired in Berlin. The office building was completed in 2002 and comprises around 7,000 sqm total lettable area over seven floors. It is part of the office complex „Am Markgrafenpark“. The fully let property further comprises 35 underground car parking spaces and three small shop units. It is located in Berlin Mitte, which is walking distance to Friedrichstraße and Checkpoint Charlie.
